SADPP comes to CCLCS

As part of an ongoing effort to bring health care to newcomers, the South Asian Diabetes Prevention Program set up shop in Scarbrough to screen our students (and staff!) for diabetes. Fortunately, there were no shocking surprises. Unfortunately, some of us should lose a little weight. In the end, we were all a much more aware of this potential problem. Click here for pictures

English Conversation Circle in North York

North York Community House has been holding English Conversation Circles at our North York location every Monday, 2:30 to 3:30 for the last several months. The program has been a great success. All English learners are welcome, anytime. Come and chat, meet new friends.

Iranian Family Well-Being Project

An initiative of Conflict Mediation Services of Downsview (CMS-D), the Iranian Family Well-Being Project is holding a number of workshops on an ongoing basis at our North York site. Covering topics to help Iranian families deal with the stresses and strains of their new lives in Canada, they are making a great contribution to the  health of our students and others from the Iranian community.
