About LINC
Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) is a program created by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) to teach newcomers English and help them settle in quickly and easily. CCLCS is one of many different organizations that receive support from CIC to give LINC classes.
LINC classes are free to:
- permanent residents
- convention refugees
Canadian citizens, visitors to Canada, and Refugee Claimants are unfortunately not eligible for LINC, but newcomers who are not permanent residents or convention refugees can contact the Newcomer Information Centres at the YMCA.
